Samuel E. Pittman papers, 1840-1910

The papers comprise deeds, indentures, correspondence and other papers, including material relating to the guardianship of the children of Andrew J. Corry, nephew and niece of Pittman. They also contain materials concerning mining stocks, the estate of Lansing. B. Misner, Pittman's father-in-law, and the military career of Alpheus S. Williams, some of them written from the field during the Civil War.
